I found some excellent fishing spots I never would have found on my own and you'd be surprised we can find it so close to home sometimes there are even little freaks you don't know that are going a half-mile away from your house you never knew were there and the public land you can fish on them and there's pretty good fishing there's no one else accesses up so definitely get on Google Maps and find some new fishing spots.

Tip number 2 is trying a lot of different spots so Google Maps helps you find all these spots but the way to catch a lot of fish is to try a lot of different locations because some locations just there are not much fish there it's not a good time of year for that body of water so you really need to be mixing it up and trying a lot of different locations and so even on the same life you want to be trying different areas of that same Lake or if it's a pond you want to try one side than the other maybe the dam or the spillway and then where a creek comes in so you want to keep moving around generally.

I don't stay at the same spot for more than an hour if I haven't caught a fish and so keep moving and keep trying new spots.

Well a lot of that could be due to timing so sometimes you'll find midday the fish aren't biting but if you go back in the evening they're biting left and right to be a morning.

Number four is to use a lot of different baits and presentations when fishing so when I go fishing a new body of water and I'm not even 100% sure what fish I'm going to catch I usually bring if I'm allowed three poles to with two different baits and one with a lure so what I'll do for instance and most freshwater lakes if I'm allowed through pools is thrown a one out with minnow and you guys can look up how to fish a minnow but usually I fish it under a bobber anywhere from like five to ten feet deep and then I throw one pull out with worm and now sometimes.

I just throw this out on the bottom and let it sink down for catfish or sometimes they'll suspend it a little bit and get pan fish or bass so that two different baits out with those two pools they can just sit there and I kind of take keep a close eye on them my third pole is the casting pole that I'll use a lure like an inline spinner or square bolt crank bait or a spinner bait or a jig or something else and that one I'm actively casting reeling in the sand I have three different presentations in the same spot and this really increases my odds.

Tip number five for this video is to make a log of all these differences in areas I've talked about so whenever you catch a fish note the timing what bait you are using and the location over the years. I kind of have this little journal slash note and an online note I use Evernote.
